193. The Chairman said that the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia had become the 146th Member of the WTO on 4 April 2003. In paragraph 238 of the Report of the Working Party on the Accession of the FYR of Macedonia (WT/ACC/807/27), the representative of the FYR of Macedonia had confirmed that his Government would apply fully all the provisions of the TRIPS Agreement from the date of accession to the WTO, without recourse to any transitional period. This commitment had been incorporated in paragraph 2 of the Protocol of Accession of the FYR of Macedonia to the WTO (document WT/L/494).
