5. Statement/summary of statement

46. The representative of Argentina did not support the artificial linkage between three TRIPS issues and did not support the proposal of amendment of the TRIPS Agreement. She said that misappropriation of generic resources and traditional knowledge was a serious problem and Members should discuss the TRIPS/CBD issue without forgetting that substantial work was being carried out in WIPO and the CBD.
