6. Brief description

The Rules correct rule 10(5) of the Trade Marks Rules 2000 and rule 8(5) of the Registered Design Rules. Both provisions were amended incorrectly by the Patents, Trade Marks and Designs (Address for Service and Time Limits, etc) Rules 2006 (SI 2006/760). The Rules substitute the word 'registrar' for the word 'comptroller' in rule 10(5) of the Trade Marks Rules 2000 and rule 8(5) of the Registered Designs Rules.
