The Patents and Patents and Trade Marks (Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2010
With regard to trade marks, the rules amend the Trade Marks (Fees) Rules 2008 (SI 2008/1958). The rules introduce a fee of £50 where certain forms are filed requesting to enter details in the Register. The main purpose of the instrument in relation to patents is to update the fees that the Intellectual Property Office (in law, “the Patent Office” and referred to hereafter as “the Office”) charges in relation to its patent-granting functions.
