6. Brief description

This Act provides for the registration and protection of industrial designs. Industrial designs are divided into aesthetic designs and functional designs. Functional designs include integrated circuits topography and mask works. The duration of design rights is 15 years for aesthetic designs and 10 years for functional designs.
