For making use of the "Paragraph 6" System, importing Members are required to notify their general intention to use the system as an importer.

This notification needs to be made only once. It can be made at any time, either independently of any actual use of the system or together with the importing Member’s specific notification of the details required under the Special Compulsory Licensing System. • This notification requirement does not apply to importing least-developed country Members.
