2. Report Information

At its meeting of 18-22 June 2001, the Council for TRIPS agreed to invite intergovernmental organization observers to the Council to update the information on their technical and financial cooperation activities relevant to the implementation of the TRIPS Agreement. The present document reproduces the information which has been received from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) by means of a communication dated 28 August 2001. Communications from other intergovernmental organizations will be circulated as addenda to this document. _______________ The relevant information is contained in a document entitled "WIPO's Legal and Technical Assistance to Developing Countries for the Implementation of the TRIPS Agreement from 1 January 1996 to 31 December 2000" (March 2001), which is attached.*
