2. Description

Pursuant to Article 4(d) of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), the United States hereby notifies Article 1709, paragraph (7), of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) as being exempt from the most-favoured-nation treatment obligations of the TRIPS Agreement. The text of NAFTA Article 1709, paragraph (7), is attached.
