59. The representative of Morocco said that his delegation had recently notified its technical cooperation activities to the Secretariat. He highlighted certain elements. Morocco's technical cooperation activities in intellectual property benefitted Arab and African countries and mainly related to industrial property and new plant varieties. Morocco provided a certain number of training stages, for example on examination of the homogeneity and stability of plant varieties. As a developing country, Morocco provided south-south technical cooperation, demonstrating its belief that it was necessary to optimize and use the TRIPS Agreement for technology transfer among all Members.
