51. The representative of Australia said, with regard to the questions raised by Malaysia, that WIPO's IGC had done work on some aspects of this issue, particularly on those relating to some of the difficult questions of definition. With respect to the structuring of future work on this issue, she reiterated that Australia remained committed to working within the existing mandate but that care should be taken not to duplicate efforts. She said that her delegation would find it helpful to ground this work in the national experiences of Members in order to better understand the concrete implications of some of the more legal and theoretical concepts.
