A NOTIFICATIONS UNDER PROVISIONS OF THE AGREEMENT
11. The Chairman informed the Council that, since its meeting in October, it had received a number of supplements and updates to earlier notifications of laws and regulations notified under Article 63.3 of the Agreement. Slovenia had notified consolidated texts of its amended Industrial Property Act, Copyright and Related Rights Act, Act on the Protection of Topographies of Integrated Circuits and Decree on the Fees of the Slovenia Intellectual Property Office; Jamaica had provided information on its plans concerning its legislation on patents, industrial designs and geographical indications, including on its work to implement the "paragraph 6" waivers; the European Commission had notified two Council Regulations concerning customs action against infringing goods and a Directive on the enforcement of intellectual property rights; Canada had notified two regulations amending the Food and Drug Regulations and the Patented Medicines Regulations; and Saudi Arabia had notified the Procedural Rules before the Board of Grievances and a corrected text of the Implementing Regulations of Copyright Law. These notifications were being circulated in the IP/N/1/- series of documents. In addition, Saudi Arabia had provided its responses to the Checklist of Issues on Enforcement, which had been circulated in the IP/N/6/- series of documents. 12. He recalled that, among the Members whose transitional period under Article 65.2 or 65.3 had expired on 1 January 2000 or who had acceded to the WTO, there still remained two who had not yet submitted any notification concerning their implementing legislation, namely Saint Kitts and Nevis; and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The Secretariat had been in contact with the respective delegations in order to assist in the matter. He urged those Members whose initial notifications remained incomplete to submit the outstanding material without delay, and reminded other Members of their obligation to notify any subsequent amendments of their laws and regulations without delay after their entry into force. In particular, he reminded those Members who had made any changes to their laws and/or regulations to implement the decision on "Implementation of Paragraph 6 of the Doha Declaration on the TRIPS Agreement and Public Health" and who had not yet notified such changes to the Council to do so. 13. With regard to notifications of contact points under Article 69, he said that, since the Council's meeting in October, updates to contact points notified earlier had been received from India and Australia. These notifications were being circulated in an addendum to document IP/N/3/Rev.9. To date, 122 Members had notified contact points under Article 69.
