The Chairperson said that, as had already been discussed under previous agenda items, the Council was to take up at its October meeting its annual reviews of technology transfer under Article 66.2 and technical cooperation under Article 67. She reminded the Council of two other reviews that would also be on the agenda of that meeting. The Council would need to hold its fifth annual review under paragraph 8 of the Decision on the Implementation of Paragraph 6 of the Doha Declaration on TRIPS and Public Health and report on its operation to the General Council. Furthermore, the Council would have on its agenda the seventh transitional review under Section 18 of the Protocol of the Accession of the People's Republic of China.
130. The Chairperson informed the Council that her Government had asked her to take a new assignment and that she would be returning to Jamaica at the end of July. She said that it was her understanding that the Chair of the General Council would conduct consultations in due course on the question of the chairmanship of the TRIPS Council.
