19. The representative of Switzerland thanked the delegation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for its responses to the questions by Switzerland. He had received these answers recently and they were still under review in the capital and would revert to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as expeditiously as possible for any follow-up matter should there be any.
20. He underlined the importance of the process of reviews of legislation in the context of the TRIPS Agreement and the Council's work. It represented the core element of the enhanced transparency that Members had agreed for intellectual property regime in the context of the Uruguay Round. He looked forward to receiving responses to its questions and follow-up questions also from a number of other Members. He was aware that, in some Members, finalizing the process of putting in place national implementing legislation had delayed submission of answers to certain questions at the time of the review but once such legislation was cleared at the national level, the review procedure in the Council could and should be concluded without further delay. If Switzerland could contribute to this process with clarifications or any other assistance relating to the reviews of Members to which it had submitted questions, it would be glad to do so.
