H REVIEW OF THE APPLICATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE SECTION ON GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATIONS UNDER ARTICLE 24.2
119. The Chairman recalled that Article 24.2 provided that the Council shall keep under review the application of the provisions of the GI Section of the Agreement. He recalled that, at its last meeting, the Council had agreed to encourage Members to share information on and notify bilateral agreements related to the protection of geographical indications, which they had entered into, to the Council. The Secretariat had issued on 26 April an Airgram (WTO/AIR/3550) reminding Members of this. In response to this, the Council had received information on such bilateral agreements from Peru and Korea. These communications had just been circulated in documents IP/C/W/547 and Add.1, respectively. 120. Since its last meeting, the Council had also received responses from Croatia to the Checklist of Questions contained in document IP/C/13 and Add.1. These responses were available as an advance copy of document IP/C/W/117/Add.33. In addition, Croatia had informed the Council that it had not concluded any bilateral agreements related to geographical indications.
