239. The representative of Australia said that her delegation had welcomed the General Council decision in December 2005 to amend the TRIPS Agreement and had accepted the protocol. She was ready to consider the idea of a workshop, although the preceding discussion strongly suggested that there was still room for a dialogue among Members that would lead to an objective analysis of the practicable operation of the system. Therefore, she encouraged Members to participate in that kind of dialogue to provide information on the Paragraph 6 system and to engage formally and informally on how the system operated in practice. Her delegation supported the Chairman's proposal on the way forward.
