246. The Chairman suggested that the Council agree to set aside the second day of its meeting in October for the annual review. As to the revised proposal by the delegation of India to devote a day in September for an informal discussion among Members only, and then a second day to a workshop involving third parties, he said that there still was no consensus on whether and when to have a workshop involving third parties. Another issue that might need to be examined further was whether such a workshop should be organized outside the ambit of the Council for TRIPS or under its auspices. He suggested that he continue his consultations on how to proceed with the preparations of the review.
