228. The representative of Japan said that detailed information on Japan's technical cooperation activities was available in its report to the Council. Japan had been considering LDCs' submissions on priority needs for technical and financial cooperation in order to assist them in implementing the TRIPS Agreement. Japan and LDCs shared the view that it was important to integrate IPR capacity building needs in the overall developing strategy. Japan would continue to make efforts to assist developing country and LDC Members in taking necessary steps in the future.
