10 TECHNICAL COOPERATION AND CAPACITY-BUILDING
214.   The delegation of Bangladesh welcomes the reports from developed country Members, IGOs and the WTO Secretariat under Article 67 of the TRIPS Agreement on technical cooperation and capacity building in support of developing countries and LDCs. These reports provide information on a wide range of programmes and activities customized for the beneficiary Members. These programmes are critically important for the LDCs. 215.   Bangladesh sincerely thanks the developed country Members and the international organizations for their help and would like to encourage them to continue their valuable support for the developing countries and particularly the LDCs and the graduating LDCs.
The Council took note of the statements made.
32.   The Chair recalled that, at the October 2019 meeting, the Council had conducted its annual review of technical cooperation on the basis of reports submitted by developed country Members, and a number of Observer International Organizations. Considering that some information was made available only shortly before the meeting, the Council had agreed that Members would have a further opportunity to make comments at the present meeting. The International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) had submitted its report before the meeting, to be circulated as document IP/C/W/654/Add.6.
33.   The representatives of Chad, on behalf of the LDC Group; and Bangladesh took the floor.
34.   The Council took note of the statements made.
