65. The representative of India supported the points made by the representative of Brazil, in particular that developing countries needed more time to study the notifications, since they had less resources to devote to that exercise. She suggested a two-tier process, the second part of which would consist of a follow-up meeting only for developing countries to raise questions. Even more important than covering the cost of participation of experts from developing countries was to give these countries the financial resources to facilitate study of the notifications, for example by consultants.
