The representative of India said that the implementation of the recommendations contained in paragraph 33 of the Council's report (document IP/C/8) could be seen in the context of the decision taken by Ministers in Singapore to organize a high-level meeting in Geneva in order to look at ways to enhance trade opportunities of least-developed countries. This might require, in the first instance, some coordination between the members of the Secretariat serving the TRIPS Council and those responsible for the organization of that meeting and would seem to be a matter of urgency, since the high-level meeting was expected to take place before the summer break.
