The Chairperson informed Members of the second Joint WIPO/WTO Workshop that had been held on 14 July 1997, on the topic "Technical Cooperation Aimed at Improving Human Resources and Institutional Capacities Required to Implement the TRIPS Provisions on Domestic Enforcement". She thanked again the International Bureau of WIPO for its willingness to participate in the organization of this Workshop, and the European Commission and the Governments of Mexico and Thailand, as well as the Secretariat of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, for their willingness to provide speakers for the Workshop. She also thanked all others that had contributed to the discussions in the Workshop.
