52. The Chairperson referred to the communication from the European Communities contained in document IP/C/W/75. She also informed the Council that non-papers had been received from Switzerland and Hungary. She recalled that, at the Council's meeting of 27 February 1997, it had been agreed that further consideration to how the issue of conducting the review under Article 24.2 would be handled would take place through informal consultations following the submission of papers that had been foreshadowed. Informal consultations on this issue could now be initiated, taking into consideration the suggestions from the European Communities.
