Ambassador István Major (Hungary)
L ARTICLE 64.3
122. The representative of Canada said that his delegation had long had concerns about the use of the non-violation remedy in the context of the TRIPS Agreement. Those concerns had not been alleviated since the Agreement had entered into force. His delegation believed that many others would share those concerns and that there were a number of issues that needed to be identified and examined carefully as Members looked at the potential application of this remedy in the area of TRIPS. For that purpose, his delegation intended to circulate a paper in advance of the next meeting on this matter.
