2. Description

The Government of Japan notifies the Council for TRIPS, in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 1 of the TRIPS Agreement, that, in the implementation of the TRIPS Agreement, the Government of Japan will not apply the criterion of publication for the protection of the producers of phonograms as provided for in Article 5 of the Rome Convention.
