Bill C-30, An Act to implement the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between Canada and the European Union and its Member States and to provide for certain other measures)
Bill C-30 amends the Trade-marks Act to protect certain agricultural products and food products as geographical indications (GIs), including associated rights, exceptions, product categories denoting the scope of rights, and other associated provisions.
Bill C-30 received Royal Assent on 16 May 2017, and entered into force on 21 September 2017.
