In particular the text concerns: applications for protection (rules on name, applicant, product specification, derogations concerning production in the geographical area, national procedure, joint applications, transitional national protection, admissibility and scrutiny of the application); the objection procedure (admissibility, grounds, procedure, restrictions); amendments to product specifications (types of amendments, definition, admissibility and procedure for all types); cancellation of protection (admissibility, grounds and procedure); use of symbols indications and abbreviations (temporary labelling and derogations); transitional measures.
