6. Brief description
In March of 2021, amendments were made to the Regulations Governing Application for Approval of License of Works of unknown Owner of Copyrights and Royalties for Use Thereof. To facilitate the use of orphan works, public searches for economic rights holders may now be conducted by placing an announcement on the website of the copyright-competent authority. The reduction of the mandatory waiting period following publicizing of the search has also been reduced considerably.
