The Trade Marks (Amendment) Regulations 2022
Amends the Trade Marks Act 1994 to allow owners of well-known marks to prohibit use of a conflicting trade mark for dissimilar goods and services (in addition to the protection already provided for similar goods and services). The amendment will also provide parity of treatment for UK nationals and nationals of third countries who are signatory to the Paris Convention.
