Article 65.2: The United Arab Emirates will avail itself of its right under Article 65.2 of the TRIPS Agreement to delay for a period of four years, beginning as of 1 January 1996, the date of application of the Agreement. Article 65.4: The United Arab Emirates will avail itself of its right under Article 65.4 of the TRIPS Agreement to delay for a period of five years, beginning as of 1 January 2000, the date of application of the provision on product patents of Section 5 of Part II.
