8. The representative of Hungary supported the Chair's suggestion of accepting intergovernmental organizations already having observer status in the regular session of the TRIPS Council as observers in the Special Session. His delegation also fully supported OIV's request for full observer status in the Special Session. It would be regrettable if an organization like the OIV were to be excluded from the discussion of this body which obviously had a great bearing on its activities.
