143. The representative of Canada said that the Brazilian delegation had made a valid point, which could be turned upside down as well. Getting into these kind of semantics or examples might take away from the central question that the TRIPS Agreement presented an alternative whereby Members had the ability to decide whether they wished to participate or not.
The Special Session took note of the statements made.
