80. The representative of Malaysia said that the issue of the cost for setting up the system was important for her delegation. She asked whether the Secretariat could provide information concerning the costs for setting up a database (cost of hardware, manpower or man hours needed to maintain such a computerized database), an idea of translation costs as well as panel costs for purposes of ascertaining, in the future, the cost of arbitration. Her delegation was also interested in knowing from the EC what exactly they had in mind when they said that they were prepared to discuss costs commensurate with the use of GIs.
