The Chairman recalled that, on 14 June 2001, the WIPO and WTO Secretariats had launched a Joint Initiative on Technical Cooperation for Least-Developed Countries. Since then, the WTO Secretariat had kept the Council informed about the implementation of the Joint Initiative.
