Reconvening the Council's meeting on 29 November 2005, the Chairman informed the Council that he had held consultations with the LDC Group and those delegations that had expressed concerns about the request. In the light of these consultations, he had circulated for the Council's consideration a draft decision on the extension of the transitional period under Article 66.1 for least-developed country Members. This draft had been discussed at the Council's informal meeting on 29 November. In the light of these discussions, he proposed that the Council adopt the "Draft Decision on the Extension of the Transition Period for Least-Developed Countries under the TRIPS Agreement" as contained in document JOB(05)/310.
