The Chairman recalled that, at its meeting of 7 February, the General Council had taken note of the consensus on a slate of names of chairpersons for WTO bodies. On the basis of the understanding reached, the Chairman proposed that the Council for TRIPS elect H. E. Ambassador Yonov Agah from Nigeria as its Chairman for the coming year by acclamation.
