10. The representative of Cuba supported the inclusion of the item proposed by India and China on the agenda. There was a worrying trend to go above and beyond the enforcement standards set out in the TRIPS Agreement. Her delegation believed that it was highly relevant to discuss this topic in the Council, especially as Article 68 of the Agreement clearly established the opportunity for Members to hold consultations on issues related to trade related intellectual property rights.
