Mr. Martin Glass (Hong Kong, China)
434. The Chairman said that, as the item in question had been put on the proposed agenda at the request of China and India, there was no need to refer to it as an "ad hoc item", but it could just be referred to as an "item". He proposed to reflect the text suggested by China in a footnote to paragraph 21 which would read: "This was originally put forward on the proposed agenda as 'TRIPS Plus Enforcement Trends'". He further proposed that the Secretariat be requested to update the draft with this amendment to reflect the discussions at the present meeting, and that the revised draft be faxed to Members who would have one week to comment on the updated parts of the draft report once it had been circulated by the Secretariat.
