262. The representative of Argentina said that he shared Cuba's position. As Argentina had stated in previous DSB meetings, this non-compliance of the United States that had lasted for over ten years had negative effects on the credibility of the multilateral trading system. All the more so when the more vulnerable Members of the Organization were involved. He invited the United States to bring Section 211 of the Omnibus Act 1998 into compliance with the rulings and recommendations of the DSB. Since February 2002, this body had ruled that those measures were incompatible with the TRIPS Agreement and the Paris Convention.
