10 TENTH ANNUAL REVIEW UNDER PARAGRAPH 2 OF THE DECISION ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ARTICLE 66.2 OF THE TRIPS AGREEMENT
192. The representative of New Zealand said that, as part of the annual report for 2012, New Zealand had gone through a process of re-evaluating the format for reporting and had made a number of changes to the format in an attempt to respond to the LDCs' requests, and to the feedback received at the technical assistance workshop in 2011. In particular, New Zealand had included an annex to its report, which included a number of the reporting elements in the LDCs' proposed format for reporting. The annex attempted to focus more on the objectives and expected technology transfer outputs for a number of initiatives detailed in our annual report. Obviously this reporting format was work in progress and her delegation looked forward to further feedback from the LDC Group on how the reporting format could continue to be improved. However, like others that had spoken, she said that New Zealand was not in a position at this moment to support a mandatory format for reporting principally because of concerns that adopting a format at this time might not be flexible enough to accommodate the range of activities that New Zealand included in its Article 66.2 report.
