The representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said that S&D treatment for developing and least-developed country Members was a fundamental principle in the WTO and the proposal tabled before this Council was a good example of how to implement such treatment. Therefore, he supported an extension of the transition period, either in its proposed wording or in any other agreed language.
