The representative of the European Communities expressed support for the United States and said that the European Communities and their Member States attached utmost importance to a timely and full implementation of Articles 70.8 and 70.9. He wished to inform the Council that his delegation had asked to be joined to the formal consultations between the United States and India, which would take place later in the week (document WT/DS50/2).
