42. The representative of the European Communities said that this additional review process concerning the Section on geographical indications was of particular importance to his delegation. The European Communities and their Member States had embarked upon a brainstorming exercise in order to identify the value-added of the review under Article 24.2 as compared to the ordinary review scheduled for the week of 11 November. Once this exercise had generated conclusions, his delegation would share these conclusions with the Council.
