80. The Chairman recalled that it had been agreed that the focus of the next meeting, on 18 September 1996, should be on the issue of technical cooperation and reminded Members of the Workshop on Border Enforcement scheduled for the afternoon of 17 September. Apart from technical cooperation, the principal points for the agenda of the 18 September meeting appeared to be the following: notifications under Article 4(d); notifications under Article 63.2 relating to Articles 3, 4 and 5; other notifications; implementation of Articles 70.8 and 70.9; review under Article 24.2; revocation of patents; report to the Singapore Ministerial; follow-up to the review of legislation on copyright and related rights; and observer status for intergovernmental organizations. The Council would also continue to be informed of developments elsewhere in the WTO of relevance to TRIPS. He believed that during the present meeting a need had emerged for prior informal consultations, in particular in respect of notifications under Article 4(d), notifications under Article 63.2 relating to Articles 3, 4 and 5 and the report to the Singapore Ministerial. He intended to call these informal consultations for the morning of 17 September.
