47. The representative of India thanked the United States for its communication on this topic as distributed in document IP/C/W/32, which was an important contribution to the discussion on the issue. However, his delegation still continued to hold the view that Article 32 of the TRIPS Agreement dealt directly with the subject of revocation and forfeiture and that Members, under that Article, had the right to decide the grounds of revocation subject to the limitations prescribed under Article 5 of the Paris Convention. He reserved his right to come back to the issue with detailed comments at a later meeting.
