The Chairman said that the Secretariat had received written copies of virtually all the follow-up and other additional questions and replies that had been presented orally at the review meeting concerning legislation on trademarks, geographical indications and industrial designs in November 1996. The record of the introductory statements made by delegations, the questions put to them and the responses given were being circulated in the IP/Q2/COUNTRY/-series of documents. The documents concerning the legislation of the Czech Republic and Iceland had already been circulated, and others were being processed. 34. The procedures for the review (document IP/C/M/7, paragraph 6 and IP/C/M/8, paragraphs 69 and 70) provided that, at subsequent meetings of the Council, an opportunity would be given to follow up any point emerging from the review session which delegations considered had not been adequately addressed. Follow-up questions posed to the European Communities and the United States had been received from India and circulated in document IP/C/W/54.
