The representative of the European Communities recalled that it was his delegation which had suggested in December 1998 that the Secretariat provide a regular report on the cooperation between WIPO and the WTO Secretariat and he thanked the representatives of both for having done so. His delegation hoped that both Organizations would continue to work together effectively and looked forward to further reports at future meetings.
