The representative of Singapore supported the statements made by the representatives of Australia and Japan concerning the work in APEC on technical cooperation in regard to TRIPS implementation within the 21 APEC members. As the Chairperson of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation, he informed the Council that also ASEAN was looking at the level of progress in TRIPS implementation and technical assistance in relation to sharing information on legislation, seminars and other activities aimed at helping members to develop their legislation.
