The Enterprise Act 2002 (Protection of Legitimate Interests) Order 2003

The Order provides for the taking of action by the Secretary of State where a European intervention notice has been given so as to remedy the adverse public interest effects which have resulted from, or may be expected to result from, the creation of a European relevant merger situation—that is where the relevant merger situation is also a concentration with a Community dimension under the European Merger Regulations. Consequential amendments are made to the Registered Designs Act 1949, the Patents Act 1977 and the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
