The Copyright and Performances (Application to Other Countries) Order 2016

The Order replaces the Copyright and Performances (Application to Other Countries) Order 2013/536. It applies copyright reciprocal protection conferred on works from third countries in relation to international treaty obligations. The Order : a restricts the application of Part 1 of the Act under section 159(1) in relation to certain countries; b applies Part 1 to works originating from certain additional countries; c restricts the application of Part 2 of the Act to performances connected with certain counties; and d applies, with certain limitations, the protection of Part 2 to performances connected with certain countries.
