The Law on Amendments to the Law on Trademarks
This Law more clearly defines the rules of marking and classification of goods and services for which trademark protection is sought, expands the list of absolute reasons for refusal of registration of a trademark or annulment of the registered trademark and expands the scope of rights held by the holder of the trademark in the part relating to goods in transit and preparatory actions relating to the use of packaging or other means. Certain amendments were also made to the proceedings regarding remarks and objections to the registration of a trademark before the competent authority, to the procedures for the annulment and revocation of the trademark, as well as amending the authority before which the said proceedings can be conducted from the court to the competent administrative authority. Procedure of inspection supervision and the procedure for the destruction of temporarily confiscated goods was prescribed in a more detailed way.
